The Eagles are not as strong defensively this year as in years past due to a slew of injuries at the linebacker position. That has not stopped Cole from dominating, however. The ultimate energy player, he has 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles this season. San Francisco’s offensive line will have its hands full.
Donovan McNabb passed for 280 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Eagles past the Niners, 40-26, in Week 6 of last season.
The Eagles have won four of the past five, but still trail the series, 17-10-1, including the playoffs.
