New York Giants Vs Washington Redskins

Arena: FedEx Field
Time: 21 Dec 2009 at 8:30 PM
League: NFL – United States of America
The Giants have won six of the last seven to extend their overwhelming series advantage to 89-61-4, including the playoffs.
When these teams met in Week 1, the Redskins were only able to sack Manning once. That appears to be the magic number for the Giants, as they are 7-1 this year when Manning is sacked one or fewer times, and 0-5 when he gets sacked more than once.
While Washington’s passing offense is ranked only 17th overall — and has struggled mightily for much of the season — it has started to show signs of life recently. That could spell doom for a Giants secondary that has fallen apart over the second half of the season, having given up 19 touchdown passes in the last eight weeks.
With his next catch, Giants WR Steve Smith will set the franchise record for receptions in a season. … New York’s Justin Tuck has six sacks in his last five games against Washington. … Redskins QB Jason Campbell is looking to post at least a 100 passer rating for the third consecutive game. … If the playoffs started today, the Giants would be out (the Redskins have been eliminated).
