Despite losing for most of the game, New England rallied past Buffalo for a 25-24 victory.
The Pro Bowl receiver has come under scrutiny recently. He was sent home after being late to a practice last week, and then had one of the worst performances of his career (one catch, 16 yards) vs. the Panthers. After the game, Panthers CB Chris Gamble questioned Moss’ effort. Patriots coach Bill Belichick defended Moss on Monday, and Moss will no doubt be eager to prove his worth against the Bills.
New England can tie San Diego for the longest current stretch of dominance over one team (the Chargers have beaten the Raiders 13 straight times). … Patriots RB Laurence Maroney has a career-high eight touchdowns this season. … Bills WR Terrell Owens has a touchdown in three of his past four games. … If the playoffs started today, the Patriots would be in. Thomas was also sent home last week after arriving late, and he criticized the move in the media. He was then made a healthy scratch for Sunday’s game, the second time he has been inactive this season.
